Hi everyone and welcome to 2015 and a bright and shiny new year.  I always seem to forget I have a blog because I am so busy taking pics. This past year I hired a new assistant and her name is Alex Couture-Oronos.  She is actually the girl in the pics that everyone loves on my KNOT page being dipped in the water.  She is so dynamic and such a hard worker and truly a blessing in disguise.  She is my daughter's best friend that she met at Texas Tech in her sorority. They became fast friends and he has become more like the sister my daughter never had. Although Alex now lives in Miami, we all talk every day.  Originally from Sugarland, TX, she and her husband moved when he found an amazing new job in Miami, so she is just a plane ride away! Even so, our wonderful relationship and her creativity made her hiring an easy choice. She already knew how my work ethic is, she knows my perfectionist attitude (as she has one too), and she works her fingers to the bone to get stuff done ASAP! She has already proven to be a hardworking addition and I am so blessed to have her on board at Susan Gilbert Photography. I know she will be a great asset to all my wonderful couples beginning their journey with me as their photographer!

Snow White meets DallasSeems fitting as Snow White in her mother's 30 year old Alfred Angelo dress in Downtown Dallas, TX. This was the first of 2 bridal shoots we did. Alex's BOHO Bridal Shoot pt 2 Our second day of shooting for bridals she did her own style - BOHO. This one was so much fun. the picture that has captured over 7,000 views. It's a winner for sure. and her Love Story continues.......
